The Truth about Healthcare

June 18, 2009

The truth about healthcare in America is simple.  It is not somethng that can be obtained bey everyone.  I know we are in the land of the brave and the free, but let’s admit it everyone can’t get it.  Now I know there is a segment of the country that says we should leave our system the way it is, my question to them is, Why?

Why should we leave this pitiful system the way it is when we have so many poor people out there without it.  We can help to save other countries but in our home nation we can’t save ourselves.  Please tell me the reason why a change it is not needed.

I understand that we really may not be able to have medical benefits for everyone, but something has to be done.  It is a shame when in this, the greates country in the world people can actually die from not having the medical attention they deserve.  Can you imagine dying because you can’t afford to see a doctor, that’s crazy.

Oh, and I know some guys will say they just need to get a job.  Hmm, let me see everyone is laying off now at a record rate.  The last time I checked if you muliply Zero times Zero you still get Zero.  So if there is not job you can’t medical and the way things are going now most companies simply are not able to afford to pay for their employees medical coverage, of course, my number one answer is that everyone is laying off people so where does that leave us.   So on one hand jobs are hard to find and on the other companies are not even offereing medical in some cases, then with people laying off at an alarming rate where is that job medical coverage again, I must have missed it in my calculation.

The truth about health care is simle it has to be fixed.  I’m not saying the president is completely right, but something does need to be done to correct this problem and fast.

As We Lay

April 11, 2009

As we lay

we let things in our country go out of control.

As we lay

we tend to let our emotions define our actions

As we lay

our feelings of despair keep growing and growing

As we lay, As we lay

I say we should just stand up

Just stand up and take charge of you

Stand up,  and quit laying down

Stand up because when you always lay down

you are always put down.

The End of the Year

December 31, 2008

Today is 12/31/2008 the end of one crazy year.  As we all look towards the next year what we hope to accomplish.   Will our country come out of 2009 in better or worse shape than it is already in.  I just have a couple of thoughts on the subject.

How are we going to make it in the year 2009 with the economy as bad as it is?  We all have had to deal with this issue in 2008 and it is sure to be the major thing in 2009.   Many people are just plain scared of the uphill battle ahead for this country in the coming year.  This will cost all of us something and I’m not just talking about the bailout money.  This will cost us mentally and physically, as well.

How are we going to make it spiritually?  In tough times usually we fall to our knees in prayer, but that has not been emphasized this year.  I really hope we all get on our knees and pray in this coming year because we will need to have it.  As I look into the work we worry about money and jobs, but our spirituality has been lost in the message today.  So, for 2009 I’m going to work on prayer it is needed and I hope you are too.

Anyway, that’s all for me in 2008 have a safe New Year.

Let the Best Candidate Win

April 9, 2008

During this chaotic democratic primary season, there have been many scenarios given to pick a nominee for the party.  However, to settle this confusion over this difficult choice if the party would use COMMON SENSE there would be no confusion.  If I understand the process correctly the winner has to have on 2,000 delegates, which neither one of the candidate will be ble to acquire.  So, that would leave the next obvious path the person with the most delegates wins.  Leave the SUPERDELEGATES at home where they need to be. People are tired of all this confusion.  If anyone from the Democratic National Party is listening, take my advice it will help you guys out.

Let the Best Candidate Win

April 9, 2008

During this crazy democratic primary season, many scenarios have been proposed to chose a nominee for the party.  However, I will just use the COMMON SENSE my parents taught me years ago and just say let the best candidate win.  If this process is about the person who wins the most delegates let that person be the nominee.  Who cares about the SUPERDELEGATE.   People are so worried about this or that, how about letting the person with the most delegates win.  Now that’s an idea.
