Good evening all, I hope all is well with you out there. I have had a great week and had the great fortune of receiving some information from a Mr. Fahim Knight over a debate he had with a white mason. Mr. Knight is an Africa American Mason out of the state of North Carolina and the person he had his discussion with was from the country of England. It was a great debate, but it was very one-sided due Mr Knight being able to substantiate every point he came up with and the person on the opposite side not doing much to prove his case. However, that was not the big thing I noticed in the debate. The white Mason seemed to get upset because Bro. Knight was bringing up the history of racial inequality in Masonry. It seems to me that everytime we bring up some research like that we are called racists, but when the shoe is on the other foot it is just research.
First of all, I really cannot help that there is a section of the worldwide masonic body that wants to cover up that part of our history. I mean everybody is going crazy over the new book about masons, which is supposed to be fictional, but when a true hard fact surfaces it is denouced, that’s crazy. How can an organization that strives in the quest for knowledge be against looking within itself for the good, bad, and the ugly. A learned Masonic brother is and should know basically Masonry is rooted in Egyptian spirituality, it says so in our rituals. Why is it so hard to swallow for the other side when the fact are there to prove it. I truly don’t understand that view point.
Of course, the movies that have coume out recently looking for the masonic treasure were very entertaining, and the history channel has some great programs on the craft, but they are incomplete. All masons know that the information on the history channel is not complete, but it makes for good viewing. Plus, the treasure hunter in the movie searching for masonic clues to find a treasure made that movie a big hit. But really all they thing did was really sugar coat a bigger issue. However, there is a certin faction that used those avenues to boost up their membership.
When people see a mason the see an older White gentleman with an apron. They look at the movie and say Templer this and that. Now I’m not saying that those guys did not have anything to do with Masnory because it is evident that they did, however, their importance was the information they brought back from the Crusades. Did they create masonry, of course not, then why dosen’t the Masonic majority acknowedge that point so that we can move one.
Look all I’m saying is this why is it so hard for a white mason to deal with an Africa American Mason when it comes to this matter. Guys want to say we are racist because we want the world to understand us better and make us a relevant entity in he 21st century. Masonry is what it is an entity tat has been built to the back of our Egyptian ancestors. Why get mad about it.
Anyway until next time.
