Could it be
that today of all days will be perfect.
Could it be
that I will wake up with no financial problems.
Could it be
that the Doctor will call and say you have no medical issues.
Could it be
that I will stop worrying about my wife and child.
Could it be
Could it be
No, it can’t because I was just dreaming.

Hello everyone, it seems that finally we have come here to this place in time.
All is well at the moment, but lets think
As I look, around I heard about a tsunami that was very destructive.
All is well at the moment, but lets think
I turned on te television and some lady left her son n the car for eight hours.
All is well at the moment, but lets think
I watch members in comgress just argue over common sense issues.
All is well at the moment, but lets think
The swine flu has school districts closing
All is well only if you close yourself from the world.

So much trouble on my mind
It weighs me down like a 10 ton weight.
So much trouble out there
will I get fired from my job next week.
So much trouble on my mind
when will I make enough to feed my family.
So much trouble out there
will I get robbed by a person just trying to feed their family.
So much trouble on my mind
what in the world will I do just to survive.
So much trouble out there
what will I do jut to live the next day.
So much, too much trouble on my mind.

As we lay
we let things in our country go out of control.
As we lay
we tend to let our emotions define our actions
As we lay
our feelings of despair keep growing and growing
As we lay, As we lay
I say we should just stand up
Just stand up and take charge of you
Stand up, and quit laying down
Stand up because when you always lay down
you are always put down.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask a simple question, Is this America? Really what country are we living in today.
Is this America? I ask because in my town a cop recently stopped a man from going to the side of his dying mother-in-law. We usually call other countries barbaric for such act, but here and now we are acting like them. What country are we in?
Is this America? I ask this because some person walks into an immigration place and kills 13 people and then kills himself. We usually think that happens in those coutries in the east, but it just happened today. What country are we in?
Is this America? I ask because we are stuck on stupid about bailing out some companies with the help of the federal government. We usually called countries like Russian Socialists, but look at us today. What country are we in?
Is this America? Just think about what I’ve just written and I’m sure you can add to my list. Really, Is this America?

Hello everyone, this one is for all the Masons out there. If you have read some of my previous articles i make it clear that I’m an African American mason and proud of it. However, there is just one thing that irks me with being a Mason. I cannot understand why there is not any unity within masonry.
I talk to various Masons of different races and we are so divided over this or that. Let’s be honest first of all with the internet there really are no Masonic secrets out there. With just one internet search you can get ever grip and pass word from every degree. If you are really good you can make a traveling card and pass yourself as a Mason to anyone if you have the time and energy to do it. So where does it really leave Freemasonry as a whole.
It leaves us at an interesting point in history. We have so many different groups of Masons out there that it will make your head swim. Now, I’m under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful St. Joseph’s Grand Lodge located in Austin, Tx. and there are many detractors, as well as supporters of us. I bring my Grand Lodge up because there have been some other African American masons out there who have said some things about our Grand Lodge, but it sure is funny that the Grand Lodge of Texas that is recognized by the U.G.L.E. has reached out to our Grand Lodge on numerous occasions, but for some reason those people out there swear up and down that we are not recognized by them. That’s funny. Okay, I’m getting of the subject a little beside myself on that.
The big issue I have is if this is about knowledge or what somebody knows or does not know then I can understand that. However, to deny somebody’s existence because you feel they did not go through the proper channels that have been laid out by a group who really stole those concepts from our ancestors really boggles my mind. So know you want to turn your nose up and say who is or is not because of that. That’s interesting because at a time when all Masons should stand together in knowledge and in brotherhood division is the last thing we need.
This is what I wish would happen. I wish Masons in each city would have a meeting and talk. Believe me we would get so many things accomplished and if nothing else we can acknowledge each other. We need unity from every brother period.
Now, you guys who want to say who is and who is not continue the process, but remember arguements only last for a short period of time. For some reason mature people get tired of them and find some resolution to the problem. That’s what I hope for anyway.
Masonic unity is something we all need to strive for. I have said this before and I will say it again we can all question everyone’s origins in Masonry. The bigger question is what do we do to get beyond that and move forward.

Hello, world. We have just witnessed history today. Unfortunately, I could not be in Washington, D.C. but I did watch in awe on television as the first African American President was sworn into the White House. I really cannot believe we are here, now in this time.
We are here were we are now in such a critical time in our history. We have two Wars and a faltering economy. However, we have done the one thing many people thought was impossible not to long ago.
Can we as a people follow this President into these new times. Are we ready to follow the judgement of a Black man who represents just the recent past of a second-class citizen. Will this country be able to remember the past, but understand the future so that we can move past the problems we are currently in.
America, we are here today. Today we have turned the page in history. We have embraced to entire Constitution of the United States. America the brave has made a statement and now today our President will have to act.
So now, we will see we will be able to witness to totality of history move forward.

Today is 12/31/2008 the end of one crazy year. As we all look towards the next year what we hope to accomplish. Will our country come out of 2009 in better or worse shape than it is already in. I just have a couple of thoughts on the subject.
How are we going to make it in the year 2009 with the economy as bad as it is? We all have had to deal with this issue in 2008 and it is sure to be the major thing in 2009. Many people are just plain scared of the uphill battle ahead for this country in the coming year. This will cost all of us something and I’m not just talking about the bailout money. This will cost us mentally and physically, as well.
How are we going to make it spiritually? In tough times usually we fall to our knees in prayer, but that has not been emphasized this year. I really hope we all get on our knees and pray in this coming year because we will need to have it. As I look into the work we worry about money and jobs, but our spirituality has been lost in the message today. So, for 2009 I’m going to work on prayer it is needed and I hope you are too.
Anyway, that’s all for me in 2008 have a safe New Year.

I was just looking at the 100 Greates Hip-Hop songs and I have a bone to pick with the people who came up with the list. For the most part the picks were rock solid, but there was one group who were left out. Where were the Fat Boys in that list. In the mid-80’s when Whodini and Run-DMC were out you could not have a conversation about them without talking about them. So where were they?
I know many of the so-called experts oput there never really considered them to be serious, but if you listened to their albums they were really good. They also did have the song Wipeout which was a smash hit, as well. I like the show, but I just could not shake how they were nowhere in the countdown. They did a lot for the commercal success of Hip-Hop, as well. For those who don’t believe me ask older Hip-Hop heads about the Swatch watches and who used be on their commercials.
Anyway, that was my few lines on the subject. I have to pull out my Fat Boys, Big and Beautiful cassette and listen enjoy it. Hope you real Hip-Hop listeners up there will give these guys the respect they deserve. C-YA!!!
